Web Design and Development is a 10 week part time course in Waterford Institute Technology.

The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills necessary to produce professional web sites, using the latest software, (Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Photoshop). The course is structured around a project-based curriculum that will cover each aspect of web design individually, before combining them to create powerful and versatile websites. Students will learn how to create the graphics needed in Photoshop and Fireworks, while understanding about graphic formats. Flash will then be employed to facilitate vector graphic animation and some interactive  features. All these areas will then be combined together in Dreamweaver to produce the professional site, which is compliant with the latest web standards.
