This QQI level 4 course is specifically for those wishing to progress to professional training in the catering sector. You will need basic computer skills and a sufficient level of English to join this course.

Modules include:

  • Kitchen Skills 4N1150
  • Food & Nutrition 4N2830
  • Menu Planning 4N0627
  • Short Order Cooking 4N1151
  • Pastry, Baking & Desserts 5N2084

Duration: September 2020 – June 2021

One day per week (Wednesday) 9.30 -12.30 & 1.00 – 4.00

Assessment is continuous and may include: Skill demonstration, collection of work, theory/practical exams

Progression: A visit to WIT School of Hospitality is planned where you will receive information on the range of professional courses available.

Job opportunities may be available, for example, in Cafes, Delis, and Canteens

Adult Education Guidance will be provided as required.
