Horticulture Stand Alone Modules

Students who wish to study horticulture but who cannot commit to a full time course can opt to take part in stand-alone modules at Kildalton College during the academic year. These stand-alone modules are ideal for people who have a particular interest in specific area of horticulture. Most of these modules are offered one day per week for 2-3 hours over a 28 week period commencing early September until mid-May. Successful completion of these modules leads to a level 5 minor award.
The level 5 modules currently on offer are:-
- Plant Identification and Use Cost €125
- Plant Propagation Cost €175
- Landscape Construction and Maintenance Cost €125
Level 6 Stand Alone Modules
Level 6 stand-alone modules are suited to those who are already in the horticultural industry and wish to upgrade their knowledge and gain a formal education award. These modules are offered over a 16 week period commencing in January. Students will attend Kildalton College 2 days per week and will be required to take part in both theoretical and practical classes. The cost of each level 6 module is €370 payable at registration.

- Nursery Stock Production
- Market Gardening
