Higher Cert in Science in Good Manufacturing Practice and Technology is a 2 year part time course in Waterford Institute Technology.

The principal aim of this course is to provide a nationally accredited Level 6 educational course in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Technology for people who are employed in the pharmaceutical industry.
Course Structure
The course will be delivered over 4 semesters in 24 months, with six contact hours per week. Laboratory sessions in year 1 take place over 2 Saturdays per semester. Assessment is by written assignment, practical and written examinations.

Delivery 2 years, Year 1: Monday & Wednesday 4.15-7.15pm & 2 Saturdays per semester, Year 2: Tuesday & Thursday 4.15-7.15pm

Qualification Higher Certificate in Science in Good Manufacturing Practice and Technology (120 credits, Level 6)

Cost €165 per 5 credit module, €330 for 10 credit module, Year 1 €1,980, Year 2 €1,650

Cost, if eligible for bursary scheme €125 per 5 credit module, €250 for 10 credit module, Year 1 €1,500, Year 2 €1,250
