This is a one-year full-time course intending to train and prepare students who have a good standard of general education for interesting and challenging, but rewarding, careers in the Engineering Industry.

QQI Level 5 Engineering Technology 5M2061. The full QQI Level 5 Certificate facilitates entry on a competitive basis to a range of third level institutions nationwide.
Work Experience
Work experience placement in a related vocational area is an integral part of this course. Students are responsible for seeking their own work placement.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have successfully completed a full Leaving Cert Programme. Students should have received 5 Grade D’s in Leaving Certificate Subjects including English. Places are awarded on a combination of points for Grades in the Leaving Cert and marks awarded for performances at interview.
Mature students with no formal Qualifications are welcome to apply.
