Higher Certificate in Engineering in Manufacturing Technology is a 3 year Level 6 course in Waterford Institute Technology.

The course will provide participants with an understanding of modern manufacturing systems. It will specifically equip them with knowledge and manual skills in the areas of electromechanical technology or instrumentation/industrial electronics (depending on the elective chosen) and will allow development into new specialisations.

The course aims to:

  • Impart knowledge in the fundamental principles of science and engineering
  • Offer second chance education to those wishing to avail of it
  • Provide initially, the foundation for successful students to advance academically to levels commensurate with their skills and ability

Delivery 3 years – Monday & Wednesday 6-10pm

Qualification Higher Certificate in Engineering in Manufacturing Technology (120 credits, Level 6)

Cost €185 per 5 credit module, Year 1 €1,110, Year 2 €2,220, Year 3 €925

Cost, if eligible for bursary scheme €140 per 5 credit module, Year 1 €840, Year 2 €1,680, Year 3 €700
