Online Applications Now OpenThe Certificate in Community Studies is aimed at community workers/volunteers in the community who wish to gain the confidence, skills and knowledge to practice more effectively in their communities. To apply for this course applicants must be active in their community in either a paid or voluntary capacity and work from an equality perspective. Applicants must also be available for interview. The modules will enable participants to explore and understand community development principles and practice.  There is opportunity to reflect on their own volunteering with the community, set goals for personal future development and acquire skills in groupwork and facilitation.  This course is delivered over 1 academic year and progression is possible to the Higher Certificate in Community Development and Education.

Delivery:  1 year, Friday 10am – 5pm

Qualification: Certificate in Community Studies (30 credits, Level 6)

Cost: €370 per module
