Agriculture – Specific Purpose Certificate in Farm Administration – Green Cert.Print
This course, commonly known as the ‘Green Cert’ provides students with practical and farm management training. Students attend Kildalton College for block release work and carry out projects/assignments on their home farm.
It is accredited by QQI as a minor award.
Core Subjects include: Farm Management, Farm Business Planning, Farm Performance Measurement and Work Practice

Recruitment and Entry Requirements: This is a follow on programme for students who have passed the Certificate in Agriculture (Level 5). Application forms and course details are available from Kildalton College. Closing date for applications is 6th May 2016.
Employment Prospects: Graduates are well qualified to engage in any aspect of farming.
Progression: Holders of the ‘Green Cert’ (Teagasc Level 6 Specific Purpose Certificate in Farm Administration) with Merit/Distinction are eligible to join the second year programme of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Waterford Institute of Technology.
This course meets the training requirements for start up assistance and schemes for young trained farmers.
