Description: The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to prepare financial statements for a range of organisations both manually and using integrated accounting software.

Course Content: key terminology associated with bookkeeping
– advantages and disadvantages of manual and computerised accounts
– inputting invoices, credit notes, bank records, petty cash vouchers
– completing day books and ledgers
– extracting trial balance
– preparing bank reconciliation
– preparing VAT return
– completing tasks manually and using a computerised accounts package
– editing and correcting data
– printing reports
– backing up work
